I could forgive my gripes if there was literally anything else to do in Reflexions that's enjoyable but there isn't. I almost feel like it's unfair giving Reflexions a score as it's clearly a title meant to pander to a very specific audience. It's mundane, it's meandering, and it's not fun in the slightest. If she has a good time she'll reward you with love and more minigames. Senran Kagura Reflexion's gameplay loop works like this: rub Asuka's hands, rub Asuka's body, then play a short massaging game. I almost forgot to mention that if touching isn't really your thing, you're graciously gifted a water gun, so spray away friends! Is any of this coherently designed? I don't really know, sometimes she's expressing joy and other times she isn't and it's totally a trip to even think I'm doing this. Where does she want to be touched? I have no idea, I'm just poking away, swinging my Joy-Con around in a room by myself contemplating all of my previous life choices. Now I need to touch Asuka all over the place. BAM! The game hits you with a vibrator massaging minigame. It's a lot of pressure but once you come out on top you'll breathe a sigh of relief. Can you deal with the pressure of smacking the sides of Asuka's thighs? She's counting on you. The reactions to you touching her just take it that one step past creepy and into pathetic 'forever alone' territory.There's a point in Senran Kagura Reflexions that will separate the boys from the men. The creepy factor is just too much a part of the game for me to enjoy it. Grouping Asuka so you can advance the story and then having her say a line like 'I don't know if I can keep being a ninja (because I love you so much)' is more cringe inducing than seeing Melonpan making love to a Asuka dakimakura. If you thought the Toast in Mouth Cliche was overdone, this is beyond that. They just reused art and visuals from past games and added a really cliche storyline. I almost feel like the devs are mocking people who love the girls in this series and are just trying to score some easy money. I love the bouncing **** but this visual novel (because that's really all it is) just feels. It's rare to see a game company tell SJWs that if they don't like the game then don't buy it. It's rare to see a game company tell SJWs that I really enjoy the Senran Kagura series and their boldness to admit it's all about fan service.
